The Memphis Association of Independent Schools–Technology Education Consortium (MAIS–TEC)
promotes the development and implementation of instructional and non–instructional technologies, the enhancement of education through the use of technology, and the sharing of resources, expertise, and experiences.

"Using Assessment Data to Identify Needs and Plan for Instruction"
This session is one of a six-part series on identifying and instructing students in kindergarten and first grade who are at risk for or demonstrate characteristics of dyslexia. You will need to register online in the calendar of events and each session is $25 - www.mtsu.edu/dyslexia. When you register indicate that you will be watching it at Bodine School by entering your NAME/Bodine.

"Comprehension Construction Zone: A Blueprint for Instruction"
We also will be hosting a day-long workshop by Dr. Nancy Hennessy called, "Comprehension Construction Zone: A Blueprint for Instruction." Dr. Hennessy is a national trainer for Language Essential for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) and she co-authored Module 6 of LETRS, Digging for Meaning: Teaching Text Comprehension (2nd edition) with Dr. Louisa Moats. Additional details and the session description can be found on the link below. The cost for this event is $140 and lasts from 8:30-3:30. Again, you will register through MTSU and after your name enter Bodine. Although the link indicates that lunch is provided for those attending at MTSU, please bring your lunch for the simulcast at Bodine. Refrigerators and microwaves will be available for your use. Some snacks and drinks will be available.
